Shelley joined PI Midlantic in 2011. She represents PI Midlantic in the Hampton Roads area.  Shelley’s background is in strategic planning with a focus on workplace culture where she assist’s clients in fully utilizing all that the Predictive Index tool and system has to offer and more.  Shelley began her work life with her family-owned business in Indiana, a local restaurant and auction house.

During her career she has spent over 35 years in senior management with Marriott International, LTD Hospitality Group and HMP Properties.  Previously, Shelley was a certified TAB facilitator, coaching business owners in one-on-one and monthly Peer Board Meetings.  Strategic, Project Planning, Culture Curation, and Management, along with Predictive Index, enhance her work helping organizations operate more efficiently through people, processes and systems. She uses the Predictive Index Behavioral Assessment (BA), Cognitive Assessment (CA), Job Profile (JA), Design (Strategic Alignment) and Diagnose (Employee Engagement Assessment) throughout her entire business consulting firm, Premier Rapport, Inc.

Shelley is the author of six books: her first was an eBook titled: What Senior Executives Should Know about Employee Engagement and a paperback and kindle book titled THE CONNECTION: The Playbook for Business Owners & Executives. Learn How to Make All of Your Connections Count + the Ones You Haven’t Connected to Yet. BRASS OVARIES Own Yours: Master the Mindset, Change the Game and her most recent publication, How to Avoid Culture Big Fat Failures (BFF).

Shelley has received numerous awards throughout her career, including the Inside Business Entrepreneurial Excellence Award in 2019. She is not only certified as a Talent Optimizer, but in Emotional Intelligence (EQi) and as a Culture Curator Professional as well. As Shelley says, “Culture isn’t built in a day; it’s built every day.”

Shelley lives in the heart of Hampton Roads, VA with her husband and three children.  She loves to run, hike, ride bikes, crochet, read, and especially spend time with her family and friends at the beach. She gives back to the community and serves on a variety of boards including the Southeastern Catholic Charities and Peninsula Society of Human Resource Management (PenSHRM). She hosts three podcasts: Your Morning Commute, The Culture Hour, and, in partnership with her local chamber, Peninsula Biz Bus (PBB) with the Chamber CEO.
