When the canadian affiliate of international manufacturer and distributor of tobacco products Commercial Training and Development Lead began building a curriculum for the company’s new training and development department, she wanted to provide an objective way to select top performers as opposed to making gut-feel decisions. She also wanted to establish a corporate-wide definition of “top talent” in terms of behaviors and competencies. The Executive sought a program that was relevant, challenging and interesting to all employees regardless of education level, seniority or tenure with the company.
